Wallpaper - Linen Mist Murky Collection, Coal

Our Linen Mist Coal wallpaper brings a deep charcoal tone together with the quiet, delicate visual texture of woven linen. Fine horizontal and vertical threads intersect across the dark surface to create a subtle grid, giving the wall depth and understated structure without visual clutter. Designed by Wallism Studio, this minimalist design balances a bold, grounding palette with soft textile-inspired detailing. Like all our wallpapers, it is custom made-to-measure according to your wall dimensions, PVC-free, and printed on paper featuring a subtle physical structure that is straightforward to hang.

In the room

In a bedroom or a dedicated home cinema room, our design creates an enveloping, grounded backdrop that works particularly well across all four walls. The tight, low-contrast woven visual pattern keeps the dark charcoal surface feeling layered rather than flat or severe, making it easy to live with over larger continuous areas.

For a living room, dining space, or home office, we also see this wallpaper functioning beautifully on a single feature wall behind a sofa, desk, or sideboard. The fine line work remains crisp at close range while reading as a cohesive, calm surface from across the room. In rooms with generous natural daylight, the delicate crosshatch detailing becomes easier to appreciate, while softer evening lamplight enhances the warm, intimate quality of the deep charcoal hue.

Styling it

Because this design offers a structured yet quiet backdrop, we like balancing it with contrasting materials and clean architectural lines.

• Pair with warm, pale timbers or rich smoked woods to bring natural grain and warmth against the dark charcoal surface.
• Introduce soft upholstery in stone, oatmeal, or muted taupe to create an intentional tonal contrast that softens the deeper background.
• Incorporate brushed metal hardware, such as aged brass or blackened steel, to underline the design's modernist and industrial sensibilities.

Colour combinations

The palette of our wallpaper is anchored in deep charcoal gray and soft off-black tones. To build a balanced interior around it, consider pairing the design with surrounding walls or woodwork in warm chalky white, soft greige, or pale pebble gray to create crisp visual definition. For a richer, moodier aesthetic, deep slate, olive, or warm terracotta accents in furniture and decorative pieces pair naturally with the charcoal base without competing with the subtle textile pattern.
