Wallpaper - Dear Duckling

Our Dear Duckling wallpaper by NickStudios brings a charming, storybook warmth to the wall with its sweet central motif. A fluffy yellow duckling rests gently on soft green grass, surrounded by delicate pink and yellow blossoms and leafy foliage against a calm pastel green backdrop. The gentle pastel tones and illustrative character give this design an inviting, whimsical presence that feels light and balanced. Made to measure on our PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure, this mural wallpaper adds an enchanting accent while remaining straightforward to hang.

In the room

We designed this wall mural with young children in mind, and we see it working especially well in a nursery or a toddler room. Because the duckling forms a clear focal point amidst the surrounding greenery and floral details, we like placing it on an accent wall behind a crib, a low toddler bed, or a reading nook. Giving the design an open wall section allows the central character and the lower floral bed to be fully appreciated at eye level. In rooms with soft daylight, the pastel greens, sunshine yellows, and gentle pinks remain clear without overwhelming smaller spaces.

Styling it

When styling around this wallpaper, we suggest keeping larger furnishings understated so the playful illustration remains the visual highlight.

Painted white or pale natural wood furniture, such as a light wooden crib or an understated changing table, provides a soft, grounded contrast to the pastel background. Simple, unpatterned cotton textiles in off-white or soft cream help maintain a tranquil, uncluttered atmosphere around the bed or seating area. Choosing clean, rounded furniture profiles also complements the gentle curves of the duckling and surrounding botanicals.

Colour combinations

The palette of our wallpaper centres on soft pastel green, sunshine yellow, delicate blossom pink, and fresh meadow green.

For adjacent walls and woodwork, we love pairing this design with warm ivory, soft chalky white, or a very muted sage green drawn from the background foliage. If you want to introduce a subtle contrasting accent in accessories or storage pieces, soft blush pink or butter yellow echoes the flower petals and the duckling beautifully.
