Wallpaper - Cougar - Watercolor Predators Series

Our Cougar wallpaper brings an expressive animal portrait into the room through energetic watercolor-like brushwork and vivid color accents. The composition centers on the forward gaze of a wild cougar, rendered in warm sienna, earthy brown, and tan tones that stand out against a clean white backdrop. Dynamic splashes of blue and red trail down one side, giving the design an artistic, spontaneous character. Produced as custom made-to-measure mural wallpapers on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, this design brings contemporary energy to a feature wall.

In the room

Because of the strong central portrait and the energetic splashes along the side, we think this wall mural works best when given a main uninterrupted wall where the full composition can be seen. In a living room, it anchors the space naturally behind a sofa or along a primary view line. The bold subject also makes it well suited to a dedicated study, home office, or hobby room where you want a creative focal point.

In a bedroom or teenage room, placing the design behind the headboard allows the cougar's gaze to become the central anchor without competing with daily movement. The white background keeps the surrounding space feeling open, while the concentrated pigment draws focus directly to the artwork.

Styling it

The expressive watercolor appearance pairs naturally with contemporary and eclectic interiors that embrace bold art. We would balance the intense splashes of paint by keeping surrounding large furniture relatively clean-lined. Low-profile pieces in warm wood tones, such as teak or warm oak, harmonize nicely with the earthy sienna and brown shades of the animal.

To highlight the dynamic accents, you can introduce subtle blue or deep red details in smaller decorative objects or soft furnishings nearby. Textured upholstery in neutral tones helps ground the area, ensuring the wallpaper remains the visual hero of the space without overwhelming the room.

Colour combinations

The palette in our wallpaper revolves around earthy sienna, warm tan, and deeper brown shades, contrasted by crisp blue and vibrant red paint splatters against a white background. When planning your surrounding walls, a clean neutral off-white or soft warm grey lets the motif stand out with maximum clarity.

If you prefer richer surrounding tones, a muted terracotta, warm clay, or earthy ochre picked from the cougar's coat creates a cohesive and enveloping setting. Alternatively, bringing in a deep navy or slate blue on adjacent doors, trim, or cabinetry creates an intentional dialogue with the blue watercolor drips.
