Wallpaper - Friendly Ghost II

Created by artist Danhui Nai, our Friendly Ghost II wallpaper presents a charming painted narrative set against a quiet rural landscape. The scene features a small, friendly ghost raking autumn leaves beneath the glow of a full moon, accompanied by a curious cat perched along a rustic wooden fence. Soft beige, warm yellow, and muted earthy tones define the palette, giving the oil-painted scene a gentle, whimsical character. Like all our wall murals, this design is made-to-measure and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

We see this design working beautifully on a feature wall in a bedroom, den, or guest room where its storytelling quality can take center stage. Because the composition functions as a complete illustrative landscape, it benefits from an open, relatively uninterrupted wall area behind a bed or low sofa so the full horizon, cottage, and foreground details remain visible. In a smaller den or reading nook, the gentle palette keeps the room feeling warm and inviting rather than visually heavy, while softer evening lamplight highlights the warm yellow tones around the moon and foliage.

Styling it

To balance the painted illustration, we suggest pairing this mural wallpaper with classic, understated furnishings that echo its rustic charm:

• Choose warm or medium-toned wood furniture, such as a traditional wooden bed frame, oak desk, or vintage side table, which harmonizes naturally with the fence and cottage setting.
• Introduce soft, unpatterned textiles in cream, oatmeal, or muted olive green for bedding, throws, and curtains to keep the visual focus on the scenic mural.
• Add simple ceramic accents or iron hardware with a classic finish to complement the rural, English country aesthetic.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is built on an earthy base of soft beige, gentle yellow moonlight, and warm autumnal foliage tones. When painting adjacent walls, woodwork, or built-in cabinetry, we recommend pulling directly from these background shades. Warm off-white or soft linen creates a calm, cohesive transition around the room. For a deeper contrast, rich woodland greens, muted ochre, or warm taupe on surrounding trims can frame the landscape beautifully without overpowering its delicate painted finish.
